  * Prof. Amit Agarwal has incorporated a scientific spin-off, PARIMITRA Pvt Ltd (https://www.parimitra.in/). Parimitra integrates "Parivahan" (transportation) and "Mitra" (friend), thus, focusing on innovative and friendly transportation solutions. The vision is to revolutionize urban mobility through innovative, AI-driven solutions that create smarter, safer, and more efficient cities. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as edge computing, cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), computer vision, and reinforcement learning, we strive to enhance the quality of life for urban travelers, support sustainable development, and contribute to the global movement towards smarter, more connected cities. The company has successfully launched Deep Tech products, such as CrowdEye, TransitEye, and TrafficEye. The products at PARIMITRA are developed after rigorous research at IIT Roorkee, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

  * Prof. Sparsh Mittal has received IIT Roorkee's "Excellence in Teaching Award" 2025.
  * In Convocation 2025, Vipul Agarwal, an MTech AI student has received Prof. Kumkum Garg Gold Medal and Mrs. Chander Mohini Kapoor and Jeewan Kapoor Merit Prize. Mr Vipul was advised by Dr Sparsh Mittal.
  * Prof Sparsh Mittal's team has developed world’s first AI model (MoScNet) to transliterate historic Modi script into Devanagari script for Marathi language.
  * Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur bestowed the Young Achiever’s Award (Academic & Research Excellence) upon Dr. Amit Agarwal, a distinguished alumnus of the 2009 batch of Civil Engineering (B.Tech).
  
  2024
  * Dr. Amit Agarwal received the Best Paper Award for the paper titled "Object Distance estimation from a single moving camera for advanced driver assistance system" in 10th IEEE CONECCT, 2024 International Conference, at IISc, Bangalore.
  * Special Recognition was given to the team TrafficEye (Mr. Ritesh Singh, Mr. Karthik Krishnan, Mr. Utkarsh Agarwal, Prof. Amit Agarwal) at IEEE Bengaluru Mobility Challenge 2024, IISc Bangalore.
  * Ph.D. student Srishti Yadav (under the guidance of Prof. R. Balasubramanian and Prof. Sanjeev Kumar) received the TCS Research Fellowship.
  * A paper titled "Harmonized Spatial and Spectral Learning for Generalized Medical Image Segmentation", co-authored by Dr Sparsh has received the “Best Industry-Related Paper Award” at International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR) 2024.

  * Kabir Kedia and Sanjali Batra won the ‘Safe rohTECH Challenge 2.0’ for the solution ‘Automated Tool for Road Traffic Data Collection and Road Safety analysis’. The team was mentored by Anurag Thombre and Prof. Amit Agarwal.
  * Prof. Sanjeev Kumar received Prof. Bal Krishna Outstanding Teacher Award 2023 from IIT Roorkee for his UG and PG teaching contributions.
  * Ph.D. student Manas Shil (under the guidance of Prof. G.N. Pillai) received the PMRF Fellowship.

  * Prof Amit Agrawal received Institute Research Fellowship in 2022 from IIT Roorkee for a period of three years.
