The school admits PhD candidates with "institute assistantship" twice every year: Autumn session and Spring session. For the Autumn semester, the last date to apply generally falls in the month of October, whereas for the Spring semester, the last date falls in the month of April. Admission under "research project assistantship" may happen anytime of the year, depending on whenever such positions become available. After the initial screening based on the eligibility criterion, a written test and/or interview are conducted to decide the final list of selected candidates.
The School admits postgraduate (MTech) students only during the Autumn semester. The admission is through the CoAP portal only. There is no spot round/direct admission for the M.Tech program.
The School will admit candidates for its BTech program based on the JEE Advanced exam ranking. The interested students can opt for the School during the JoSAA counseling.
