Invitation

The organizing committee is delighted to invite you to participate in the International Conference on Climate and Weather-Related Extremes - New Dimensions, challenges, and solutions (ICCWE2022) to be held in physical mode organized by the Department of Water Resources Development and Management at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India on 19th and 20th September 2022. This conference will bring together leading climate scientists, faculties, policymakers, field engineers, research scholars, and students under a common platform to interact and showcase various dimensions related to climate and weather-related extremes, particularly related to floods, droughts, heatwaves, and cyclones.

Conference Format

The conference would be a two-day event having technical sessions being held on 19th and 20th September 2022 which includes keynote addresses, paper, and poster presentations. A pre-conference interactive technical session will be organized on 18th September 2022 in which domain experts will deliver lectures on themes: (i) Hydrodynamic flood mapping (ii) Satellite-based identification of drought-prone areas (iii) Cyclones and (iv) Heatwaves. A cultural tour to Rishikesh and Haridwar will be organized on 21th September 2022.
