Sensors, Analytics & IoT Lab (SAIL) is one of the highly active research labs at IIT Roorkee focussing on end-to-end IoT solution for Landslide Early Warning System (LEWS). SAI Lab does Research and Development of Landslide related Sensors, Embedded Systems, Communication Systems and ML based Analytics for Landslide detection. The lab provides an umbrella environment for faculty, research staff, PhD, under graduate and post graduate students to carry out research in various aspects related to the respective fields.
SAIL has 2 faculty and 3 research staff members involved working on the project. Along with 2 faculty members from IIT Roorkee. 2 faculty members from CSIR-Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) share their expertise being the part of the project.
SAI Lab is supported by the project titled "Evaluation and Design of Low-cost ground instrumentation with Real-Time Monitoring for the Development of Landslide Early Warning System" funded by the National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS).
