GLOGIFT 19, an International Conference with the theme "Flexibility, Innovation and Sustainable Business" in an effort to provide a global forum for practitioners, policy makers, teachers, researchers, and students to share their practical experiences, knowledge and insight in the evolution, formulation and implementation of strategies and models for flexible enterprises to meet the changing requirements of global business.

Objectives

The objective of the conference is to provide a knowledge sharing platform for dissemination of research and experiential findings through empirical study, qualitative modelling, case studies, new concepts and state-of-the-art studies.

The GLOGIFT 19 - an Annual International conference of the Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management (GIFT) invites academicians, practitioners, doctoral students and other researchers to submit theoretical and empirical papers and case studies related to the theme of the conference inflexibility, innovation and sustainable business. About Organizing Institute

IIT Roorkee

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee is among the foremost of institutes of national importance in higher technological education and engineering, basic and applied research. Since its establishment in 1847, the Institute has played a vital role in providing the technical manpower and know-how to the country and in carrying out research. The Institute ranks amongst the best technological institutions in the world and has contributed to all sectors of technological development. It has also been considered a trendsetter in the area of education and research in the field of science, technology and engineering.

The academic activities of the Institute are spread over three campuses: (i) 365 acres campus at Roorkee, (ii) 25 acres campus at Saharanpur and (iii) 10 acres campus of Greater Noida Extension Centre at Greater Noida. The Institute offers several undergraduate programmes leading to Bachelor's degree in different disciplines of engineering, technology and architecture, Integrated dual-degree programmes, Integrated Masters programmes in different disciplines of engineering and sciences and postgraduate programmes in specialised areas leading to Master's degree in technology, architecture, sciences and management. Also, the Institute is engaged in advanced level research and offers doctoral and postdoctoral programmes in the areas of cutting edge technologies and sciences (www.iitr.ac.in).

Department of Management Studies

In the contemporary environment of rapidly evolving global business and commerce, a new knowledge-driven society is emerging and revolutionizing the acumen needed for managers. Recognizing this, the Institute established the Department of Management Studies in 1998 to impart high-quality formal education in management science through a comprehensive two years regular MBA and a PhD programme. The Department of Management Studies has, over a short period, acquired and developed adequate infrastructure, expertise and resources to excel in imparting management education. The Department is housed in an exquisitely designed double storied building with four spacious lecture rooms, a large computer laboratory, a double storied library with more than 6000 books, syndicate and committee halls, an auditorium with teaching aids and a large central atrium. Presently, the Department offers dual specialisation in any two of the following areas Marketing, Finance, Information Technology, Operations Management, Human Resource Management.
