•No registration fees is to be paid by the PIs, Co-PIs and Scientific Staffs (JRF/SRF/RA/PhD Scholars) of DBT Centres of Bioenergy (all four centres).
•Registration is compulsory for all, including persons from DBT (GOI) Centres of Bioenergy.
•Accommodation is subjected to the availability. However, mark your accommodation choice in the registration form. Free accommodation will be provided to people from DBT Centres of Bioenergy (all four centres).
Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India supports four centres on Bioenergy, dedicated for translational research. The centres are as follows:
1. DBT-Pan IIT Centre for Bioenergy (2015)
2. DBT-IOC Centre for Advanced Bioenergy Research, Faridabad (2012)
3. DBT-ICGEB Centre for Advanced Bioenergy Research, New Delhi (2012)
4. DBT-ICT Centre for Energy Biosciences, Mumbai (2009)
This is the fourth centre on bioenergy research set up by DBT, Govt. of India. This is a virtual centre spread across five Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs): Bombay, Kharagpur, Guwahati, Jodhpur, and Roorkee and coordinated by IIT Bombay. This is also the largest of the four centers in terms of investigator participation. An MoA was signed between DBT and the participating 5 IITs in September, 2015.
