Centre for railway research consist of a dedicated team of members, including experienced faculties from IIT Roorkee, members from SRIC office IITR and members from RDSO. The whole team justified the role of IIT Roorkee in taking up projects for improving railway tracks, monitoring of tracks and durability of bridges by their presence. RDSO, the nodal agency for research and development in Railway infrastructure, has outlined about the technology mission for Indian Railways (TMIR).
