Ever-increasing demand for the development of ceramics with superior performance for applications in frontier sectors including aerospace, thermo-structural, energy, biomedical, nuclear, etc., requires active contribution from academic institutions, R&D labs and industries. Further, demanding applications in space technology necessitate development of advanced ceramics for mission critical functional components/ hot structures and atmospheric re-entry thermal protection systems. Keeping this in view, the Centre for Space Science and Technology at IIT Roorkee, in association with iHUB DivyaSampark IIT Roorkee and Northeast India Chapter of the American Ceramic Society (ACerS), is delighted to organize a Global Roundtable for both experienced as well as upcoming researchers and industry personnel. The participants will deliberate on recent progress and emerging prospects in synthesis, processing, characterization and performance of advanced ceramics in these niche fields.
