Aerodynamics Visualization and Thermal Analysis Research Lab
Prof. Andallib Tariq
Established in 2009 to provide support for fundamental research in the fields of fluid mechanics and heat transfer. The current research efforts include studies of TCC estimation, gas turbine blade cooling, nuclear safety management, aero-thermal characterization for passive cooling enhancement as well as researching fundamental physics of fluid interaction for internal flow across the bend regime which cannot be explained by computational methods. These are all interdisciplinary topics and play a critical role with the focus on scientific discovery, and systems design that have improved performance or that enable new approaches to existing problems. Our collaborators includes BARC, CABS, GTRE, and TBRL to provide necessary solution for technology advancement. AVTAR research groups have been exceptionally successful in making progress in these fields.
