Hostel life is totally like entering in a new dimension, very different from staying at home, away from parents, out of comfort zone. It is a place where student develops oneself as an independent person, with a hand full of liberty and responsibilities.
Our life in Sarojini Bhawan is absolute fun in its own way. I remember to party in our rooms for each small achievement, late night birthday parties, and yes of course dance, movies and gossiping in our single seater room, though it never seems with so many girls inside.
I would like to mention this too... whenever I fell ill, my friends used to care for me for food, medicines, everything, which always made me feel good that I am having such caring and loving friends.. Thanks Swati, Kartika, Neha...
You not only make friends in hostel but you make a bond that will last long forever....

Sarojini Bhawan!!!! I would like to share my experience... At first Wen I entered in this bhawan in my room specifically... It felt like a typically constructed "baba aadam" k zamaane types govt. quarter room. BUT...soon this feeling has turned to my homely space...where I can alws feel my family around. Here I have seen myself grow in various dimensions, unknown faces have turned into familiar relations, loneliness have turned into no time for myself, silence have transformed to gossip stories, ghar ki yaadein have converted to Yaha ki memories... Thus, my message to every bhawan resident would be "Jio to har pal Aise Jio jese ki akhiri ho....ye Zindagi aaj bhi Hai Aur Kal b rahegi,, par ye Lamhe Bas aaj Hain par Kal ho na ho..." Best wishes. College has alws been the best days of ur life to cherish. It's my third time I m Njying college life. But, trust me on that... IIT Roorkee has different flavour to give u as college and hostel life.

Hostel in the beginning is a place which we feel far off from our home and lonely. But over the time the same place becomes so attached to our heart that it roll downs tears while leaving it. Hostel life is always said to be the best source of wonderful endless memories which gives us giggles when we take a recap.
Sarojini Bhawan in specific is very special owing to it's natural ambience, homely atmosphere and crisp size. In Hindi we say it "छोटा परीवार सुखी परिवार".
I would like to wish all the SB girls all the very best in life and a great time in this wonderland.
