Guidelines for Extended Abstract
Introduction The extended abstract should summarize the scope of the paper and the primary results and finding. The abstract of the work should include1. Relevance to IP Management / IP law 2. Relevance to the theme of the conference 3. Significance of the topic 4. Potential impact on IP Management practise / theory Extended abstract should be written in UK English only . You may use this template as a sample. Length Prospective authors should submit an extended abstract of up to 3 pages in length, including figures, tables and references and without pagination . Page Layout Extended abstract should be typed with single space in one column. All margins should be 2.54 cm (1inch) wide. Text should be fully justified. Do not type anything outside the print area. Font Use Times New Roman, 14pt boldface for title, 12 pt boldface for section subtitles and 12 point non-boldface for main text. Sections The manuscript, preferably, is divided into the following sections: Introduction, Materials and methods, Results and discussions, Conclusion, Acknowledgments and References. Title The title should provide a concise statement of the contents. The main title should be given on the first page only. The title should begin at 2.54 cm from the top edge of the page, centred, and in 14-point, boldface type. Capitalize the first letter of nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs; do not capitalize articles, conjunctions, or prepositions (unless the title begins with such a word). Leave a blank line after the title. Separate file for Author(s) and Affiliation(s) The names of authors and their affiliation should not appear in the extended abstract. You need to submit a separate file containing the title of the paper, plus the names, affiliation and complete addresses, e-mail and fax number of authors, brief biographical notes about authors and any acknowledgements, all in Times New Roman, 12-point, non-boldface type. Please give only last name(s) and initials of the author(s). No titles such as Prof., Dr., and Ms. are needed. Please underline the name of the author who is to attend the conference. Main text Type your main text as single-spaced in 12-point, justified. All paragraphs should be indented 0.5 cm. Please leave a blank line when a new section starts, but do not place any additional blank lines between paragraphs. Illustrations, photographs and tables Figures, photographs and tables should be included into the text and fit in the text area . Captions to tables should be given at the top of each table. Captions to figures and photographs should be given at the end of each figure and photograph. Font size should be 10 for captions. Line drawings should be in a form suitable for reproduction without modification. Extremely small type should be avoided. Legends and text in figures should be inserted. Photographs should preferably be grayscale and high contrast glossy prints. References citation List and number all bibliographical references in 12-point font, single-spaced, at the end of your paper using the Harvard style. All references must be cited in the text (Name, year of publication). Where appropriate, include the name(s) of editors of referenced books. Illustration: Jack, J and Moinihan P, Year.
