Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) with its glorious past, high established benchmarks and prestigious present position in all fields of academic excellence always motivates its teaching community, researchers and students to go for extra miles in all arenas.
Every year at IIT Roorkee, students get admitted in doctoral, postgraduate and graduate programs in multiple disciplines. Institute also provides postdoctoral level of work environment with world-class infrastructure and environment. To expedite the research progress of institute, Corporate Interactions Group (under the aegis of Associate Dean Corporate Interactions) provide learning platform and invite learned faculty members as well as professionals from different discipline to guide students in the right direction.
To advance the research process and provide a comfortable base to comprehend the foundations and basics of research to students along with creating a communicating environment between faculty members and students this two days workshop on research fundamentals with special focus on innovation and entrepreneurship is going to be organized on October 13-14, 2018.
Brief about workshop
- 1. Eligibility Criteria: U.G., P.G. and Doctoral Students of all disciplines of IIT Roorkee.
- 2. Methodology: Classroom Teaching, Conferencing sessions, Case studies, Hands-on experience, Quiz, Panel Discussions etc.
- 3. Duration: Two Days (13-14 October, 2018)
- 4. No of Seats: “Limited Seats” are available on first come first serve basis.
- 5. Registration Fees/ Fees for Participants: To maintain the sincerity of the event nominal fees of Rs. 50/- will be charged for all students. the participants will be given a kit comprising folder, pen, pad, lecture compendium pack. On-Spot registration fee will be 100/- Rs. and may be available subject to space availability.
- 6. Proposed Workshop Location: LHC/ Doms MPH/Convocation Hall as per final number of registered participants and availability. (Registered participants will be informed in advance about workshop location)
- 7. Outcomes: Preparing solid research foundation; Inter-departmental research learning; Spreading awareness about recent avenues of research in country and worldwide in the field of technology, humanities and management; Developing knowledge base and create knowledge community at IITR; Converting research potential to research proposals, etc.
- 8. Resources: In-house IIT faculties from almost all department. Most of Head of Departments and Senior Professors will be sharing about recent avenues and potential research areas in respective fields
