Prof. Manoj Tripathy received B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Nagpur University, Nagpur, India, in 1999, M. Tech. degree in Instrumentation and Control from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India, in 2002, and Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee, India, in 2008. Dr. Tripathy was selected under BOYSCAST Fellowship in year 2009-10 and worked in University of Western Ontario, Canada as Post-Doctoral Fellow. He is currently working as Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. His fields of interest are Power System Protection, Smart Grid/Microgrid Protection, Control and Cyber Security aspects, Digital/Numerical Relays, Artificial Intelligence Based Relays, Application of Machine Learning, Fuzzy Logic, Neuro-fuzzy Technique, wavelets, optimization techniques, digital instrumentation, and digital signal processing. He has published more than 80 research papers in International and National Journals and Conferences. He is a Senior member of IEEE Power System Engineering and life member of Institution of Engineers (India). Dr. Tripathy is a reviewer for various International Journals in the area of power systems and speech signal analysis.
