Department of Hydrology has organized a five days TEQIP assisted FDP course workshop on “Applied Groundwater Flow and Contaminant Transport Modelling” during June 24 – 28, 2019. The course was coordinated by Dr. Brijesh Kumar Yadav along with Prof. Manoj K. Jain. Total eleven participants attended the course mostly from TEQIP-III approved Universities/Institutions/Colleges. The main area covered in the course modules were the basics of groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling and its importance in Indian site conditions along with some software tools like MODFLOW. The course participants were also taken for a field visit to Haridwar and introduced to hydraulic structures of Ganga canal.
