  1. The Original Document Verification-cum-Seat Acceptance letter issued by the RC Incharge and Latest Provisional Seat allotment letter.
  2. Original Mark sheets & Certificates of 10th Class and 12th Class or their equivalent, and Category Certificate (if applicable) along with one attested photocopy of each.
  3. The original receipt/proof of Rs. 45,000/(General/OBC) or Rs. 20,000/-(SC/ST) paid by the candidates as Registration fee at the time of seat allotment.

  5. Fee: The mode of payment is both online (download instructions) and offline (through draft). The New entrants may deposit Institute fee online by using internet banking/debit-cum ATM Card/Cash payment through bank. In case, cash option is opted, the online deposit slip has to be generated first and then the amount is to be deposited immediately in the nearby concerned branch of SBI/PNB. The procedure for operation of online banking for our both banks is given at Appendix-I (PNB)(download) and Appendix-II (SBI)(download). Online deposit slips is submitted directly at the counter of Finance & Accounts Office at the time of registration. In case on-line deposit of fee is not possible,the candidate is allowed to deposit fee through drafts as per details given below:

Important Notice: Please note that suppression or distortion of any fact like category, qualification, nationality mentioned by you in your application/admission form may make your admission or degree acquired liable for cancellation at any stage.

This offer of admission will automatically stand cancelled in the event of your failure in the qualifying examination or non-fulfillment of any of the eligibility requirements mentioned in the Information Brochure of JEE (Advanced) -2016 and the 'Counselling Brochure JEE (Advanced) 2016' available on JEE (Advanced) -2016 website (clik here)

This offer is provisional and will be confirmed after the scrutiny of documents. In all correspondence with Institute, you must quote your registration number/enrolment number.


(1) Boys admitted Rooms to all the boy-students admitted will be allotted in Rajender Bhawan.
(2) Girls admitted Rooms to all the girl-students admitted will be allotted in Sarojini Bhawan.

Please note that parents will not be allowed to stay in the Hostels along with their wards. Parents are requested to arrange their accommodation in advance in various hotels available at Roorkee


At IIT Roorkee, you will be staying in a hostel in close proximity to many other students. Such environments pose a risk of spread of various infectious diseases like mumps, measles, chicken pox, etc. As a result it is compulsory that all students be vaccinated against these diseases, and others in the following list.

1. Typhoid.
2. Hepatitis A and B.
3. MMR (one dose after 15 years of age is essential).
4. Chickenpox (If there is no history of chickenpox in past).

It is more expensive, due to logistic and locations reasons, if the vaccines are administered after you come to IIT Roorkee. So it is mandatory that you get vaccinated before you come to IIT and produce the vaccination certificates to the authorities upon arrival.

Vaccination requirement is for both your protection and the protection of other students. Please remember that your registration formalities may be on hold if vaccination requirements are not met.
