Configuring & Connecting ISC RAS Using Window XP DIALUP NETWORKING for Internet Browsing

Click on START and then Control Panel.

 

Double click on Network Connections



Click on Create a new connection under Network Tasks.
   

Select connect to Internet option and click Next

 

Select Set up my connection manually and then click Next.

 

Select Connect using a dial-up modem and then click Next.

 

Type ISC-RAS as the ISP Name and then click Next.


Enter local dialup number 6000 and click Next.


In the User name field enter iscras

In the Password field enter your password as iscras

Enter your password again in the Confirm password field and click Next.
Check the box next to Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop and click Finish.

Setting up DNS

Go to Control Panel then Network Connections and right click on the ISC-RAS connection you have
just created and select Properties.



Click the Networking tab located in the new Properties window that appears.



Make sure the boxes for Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Client for Microsoft Networks is checked.



IOn the Networking tab select the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties. The following window will appear.


Select Obtain an IP address automatically.

To configure the DNS settings select Use the following DNS server addresses and type 202.141.62.12 for
the preferred DNS server and 202.41.97.131 for the Secondary DNS server.


Now step in to Browse Internet by Double Clicking on ISC-RAS icon newely created on your desktop.
