Every year the Central Library arranges three exhibitions namely
1. Hindi Diwas Exhibition (14th September)
Hindi Diwas Exhibition is arranged for a week starting Hindi Day i.e. 14th September. Hindi books on literary and technical subjects are displayed. The Library has more than 6000 books in Hindi on various subjects. Complete collections of prominent Hindi writers such as Prem Chand, Agyeya, Nirala etc. are available. For this exhibition around 500 books are selected on merit basis and displayed for a week.
Hindi Diwas Exhibition is always inaugurated by a prominent Hindi Laureate. During past years some of the dignitaries who have inaugurated the Hindi Diwas Exhibition are H.E. Siddheshwar Prasad, Governor of Tripura, Vishnu Prabhakar, Dr. Shyam Singh Shashi etc.).
2. Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October)
Institute Library has a sizeable collection of books on and written by Mahatma Gandhi. This exhibition is a part of Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations of the University. This exhibition continues for one week. Besides books, a number of photographs on life of Mahatma Gandhi in the series ‘GANDHI CHITRAVALI’ are also displayed.
3. Bal Divas (Children’s Day)
Institute celebrates the birth day of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India on 14th November every year. On this occasion, an exhibition of the works by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and the books written about him are displayed. Around 400 books are included in this exhibition. Besides, this photographs on Nehru Family are also displayed.
