As part of its mission to spread the message of TePP among the youth, IPR Cell, IIT Roorkee conducted two events at Cognizance 2008, the annual technical festival of IIT Roorkee:I-Kno-Vent, aimed at testing entrepreneurial ability besides technical innovation. InPoster, aimed at testing the ability of expression and creativity besides innovation. Inviting participants to submit a poster based on one of the given themes.
A Three-day activity , “IT’S ALL ABOUT IPR”, was organzed as part of Srishti 2008, the annual techno hobby exhibition of IIT Roorkee to spread awareness about TePP and TUC and encourage students to initiate a process of creative thinking and expressing their ideas. It included events like iCreate, iDesk , iBox and iQuery.
The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT) in association with Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) , Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, (DSIR), Govt. of India had organized a one day Inauguration cum Orientation Program for the TePP Outreach Centre (T.U.C.), IIT Roorkee.
On April 26, IPR CELL, IIT Roorkee, celebrated the WORLD IP DAY , conducting guest lectures and workshops to raise awareness about Intellectual Property Rights and To celebrate creativity, and the contribution made by creators and innovators to the development of societies across the globe.
Through this programme we introduced TePP to students at IIT Roorkee through short classroom presentations.
Techverve, a business plan competition, was held to tap innovative ideas of students of IIT Roorkee in order to monetarily support them through TePP.
