A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step
The Nano Science Laboratory (NSL) was nucleated in 2005 with the endeavors of a small group of research scholars lead by
Dr. Ramesh Chandra. With the advent of time, gradual addition of experimental facilities like deposition of single layer / multi
layers films of metals, insulators, semiconductors and alloys by DC/RF Magnetron sputtering, Pulse Laser Deposition, Thermal
evaporation and Spin Coating fostered the research work at NSL. Today NSL, well equipped with the sophisticated scientific
instruments stands tall among the most promising research laboratories in the country. We have successfully developed and synthesized various kinds of coatings for esteemed organizations like DST, DRDO, CSIR, IRDE, DRDE, and CPRI etc having applications in different areas like:
- Scratch resistant optical coating
- Coating for self cleaning windows
- Superhard nanocomposite coatings
- Corrosion resistance nanostructure coatings
NSL has carved a niche for research and its achievements are the best vouchers to prove it. Our current interest revolves around:
to develop and study of Silt erosion resistant coatings, nanostructured hydrophobic coatings, optically transparent - hard
coatings, coatings for hydrogen storage, sensing applications, magnetic memory storage materials, spintronics, transformers and
high voltage insulators etc. In future we plan to fabricate different devices and sensors for practical application.
The whole purpose of education is to turn mirror into windows
