Research & related Activities carried out at IIC, IIT Roorkee:
1. Established Nanoscience Laboratory to synthesize Nanostructured materials by PVD processes. Such as RF/DC Magnetron sputtering system with the facility to deposit Nanocrystalline powder, thin films and multilayers by varying Substrate temperature from – 150°C to 850°C with a base pressure ≈ 10-8 Torr. Multi- chamber Excimer based PLD (Lambda Physik, KrF) for multilayers and heterostructures of functional nanomaterials.
2. In addition to it I am also looking after the materials characterization facilities such as SQUID Magnetometer, Scanning probe microscope (SPM), FE-SEM, Powder XRD and 200kV TEM and workshop facilities available with the Centre.
