In this 6-Day Meeting, it will be our endeavour to provide useful directions towards viable solutions for problems through intense sessions of brainstorming. There will be emphasis on
- Generating ideas which will eventually lead to a tangible methodology for problem solving as a short term objective.
- Evolving long term interaction between academic and industry with respect to research & development perspective.
- Developing a network of industrial scientists from India and UK.
PROGRAMME SCHEDULE
- Day 1: The first day of the 6-day meet will be devoted for the purpose of problem presentation. This will be followed by formation of Working Groups for different set of problems. Each Working Group will be led by a Resource Person.
- Day 2: Working Groups start working on their respective problems, by evolving a correct mathematical model, suitable mathematical technique and efficient algorithmic procedure.
- Day 3: All Working Groups are expected to come up with the correct mathematical model for the problem under consideration and some approximate mathematical procedure for solution strategy. This solution strategy will be formally presented in a mid-appraisal seminar.
- Day 4-5: All Working Groups strive towards a full and complete solution of the problem.
- Day 6: All day formal presentation of the approach paper for solution of the respective problem.
